Okay!!
I'm straight now!
*** FOR ANYONE ELSE WHO WANTS ** SIX ** MONITORS .... ***
Here's what you get ...

One for each monitor:
Arkview USB-DH88 PC-to-TV Multi-Display Video Adapter - USB 2.0 to DVI/VGA/HDMI, 1400 x 1050 (#M501-1285)
AND
Ultra ULT40476 Aluminus USB Hub – 4 Port, Powered, Brushed Aluminum (#ULT40476)

I got mine from TigerDirect. I'd ask for Steve Bowden. He knows his stuff.

Okay!
I got my 3 monitors hooked up to one computer.
Only thing I don't like is having to bang on my desk and move the mouse all over the place to get to the other monitor,, ... which btw, is HUGE. (24")

This is a very stupid idea, supposedly you can work it out but how you are going to align one mouse to many PCs, unless you have all the monitor in same size and support same resolution, then it makes a bit sense.
Another possible problem is, when you click a mouse in one computer, it may also trigger another computer in the same mouse-point, ....
Forgive me to ask, what is the real benefit for this arrangement ?

Hey momo:
I was just about to post again ... the mistake I made.
But since you asked ....
LOL!
********* I FREGGIN' LOVE THIS ARRANGEMENT ************ !!!!

My new 24" monitor was on the wrong side of my desk.
My computer recognizes the monitors as monitors 1,2 and 3.
Monitors 1 and 2 were always on the left, but I put the new monitor on the left.
By simply moving my NEW monitor to the RIGHT, it is now in 3rd position ... as it should be; it's the "3rd" monitor.
I have a SUPER fast computer.
OMG!!
My mouse just zooms from screen to screen like a bat outta h*ll.
I LOVE IT!!

I can use up to SIX monitors with the configuration/hardware I have.
Woo hoo!!
;>)

OMG people!
I just loaded up my programs and have different charts on different screens.
I can IMAGINE what these charts would look like on a HIGH DEFINITION 1080P TV.
Unreal!!

oh crap!
I didn't get an ADJUSTABLE monitor! (it doesn't "tilt")
Ugh!
The other thing is, the darn screen is so big, I now can't look out the window!

karen

you can click and drag your monitors into any position you like in the display settings tab. For charts the higher the resolution the better, gives you the most desktop space. I use dell 24" ultra-sharps at 1200 x 1600. there are cheap high res. monitors out there that are fine for charts, just make sure you get one quality monitor for your main one, reading text on the cheaper ones for any length of time sucks.
question for you karen, whats is the max resolution your new adapter can put out?

Skiiva:
Go to TigerDirect and put in the these numbers.
Here's what I bought.

ULT40476 - See the pic w. 4 ports? I had 2 monitors. This give me FOUR MORE.
And ..
M501-1285 - plugs into CPU. Then you plug the ULT40476 into it and voila! You're set to go!
You've got a "trading room"!

:>)

From the website:
Video Resolution: 1280x1024/1400x1050
Here's a video:

Skiiva:

Please email me your email address so we can discuss computer set-ups. My e-mail address is:

" SFMc01@aol.com "

I presently use 2 computers on all the time.

a) 1 computer is for non-trading applications.

b) The other is for trading where I do much automated trading using TradeStation. This computer is much too slow. I usually have about 100 - 150 minute charts/stocks set up for auto-trading at any one time.

Thanks

Steve
