It might be wise to look at the future (retirement) in such a way as to eliminate someone elses control over your destiny as much as possible.

Fiat currency is a house of cards.

Social Security has been set on the fast track to failure ever since Slick Willie moved the accounting column over and "found" a surplus. Bush never moved the column back either. He just opened the border and flooded the country with new people who will shore up the base of the pyramid (and hopefully they vote republican) to delay the inevitable.

JR...how about gold bullions...this is outside the banking system...I think. I was thinking about buying expensive wines and keeping them for the next 40 years when I am retired...could be worth a few cents (if I don't drink them first).
