I've searched around looking for opinions on a stock being on a naked short list and I understand it but thought I'd ask you guys this. How much should I be concerned about buying a stock thats on a naked short list?
Thanks for any replies/help.................Frank

if it's a penny stock, don't waste your time or your money.

Trust me, you'll want to be naked when ure short. It tends to attract attention better. :^)

Be that as it may, "naked short" usually applies to options when you sell a contract in lieu of the underlying stock, namely, you don't have the actual stock to offer when the buyer comes knocking on the date of expiration wanting to exercise his or her options.

Now the best time to get in long for those stocks with a long list of shorts is, obviously, on the days of the short squeeze. But note that squeezing shorts out is relatively a short phenomenon in a bear market. You don't want to be a Johnny-come-lately, and you especially don't want to hold the bag for too long. Otherwise, you'll be realizing ure dream getaway to the poorhouse more sooner than later.
