Rather than trailing to exit a buy (by definition--below)...

How about setting x% gain (to start) and then lowering (by definition--above) by an x% each day to "meet" the rising price?

Forgive me it is late... just thinking out loud...
AND
Keep the stop loss trailing to protect downside...?
