Fisher Transform

ParametersPeriod
UsageFisher Transform(10)
DescriptionIntroduced by John F. Ehlers, the Fisher Transform uses the assumption that stock prices do not have a Gaussian probability density function. However, Ehler's normalizes the price and applies the Fisher Transform to the normalized price, resulting in an approximate Gaussian PDF.

The Fisher Transform uses (High + Low) / 2 as default input.

The rapid swings in the resulting data may be used to help locate changes in trends or reversing prices.
