Swing Index

Parametersnone
UsageSwing Index
DescriptionDeveloped by Welles Wilder, the Swing Index tries to determine "real" price of a stock. The formula takes advantage of relations between current daily prices and prior day readings.

The Swing index ranges from -100 and 100.

Due to the erratic nature of this measure, typically, the Swing Index is utilized via the Accumulation Swing Index, which is the cumulative total of the daily Swing Index values.
