UNG...still think the best trade is to short the bounce. Thats what the chart says to do, and I agree... but.....

Things have changed some what very recently-- I think the DOE or the Nat Gas people reduced the estimated US reserves by 40% last week and storage has been dropping off for the last few months.. but we still have 50% more in storage than the 5 year average.
Dont know whats going on the demand side.. but I thought I heard something that one major Truck company is going to announce a new LNG rig, starting this year. Plus you had the Prez throwing his support to it last week.
The oil sands are an environmental nightmare.... and all the world oil reserve numbers are made up out of thin air... they are drilling offshore in Saudi Arabia? Land wells running dry?
"Edward Burton
U.S.-Saudi Arabian Business Council
Saudi Arabia’s offshore hydrocarbon program is a crucial component of the Kingdom’s efforts to meet greater production targets. Saudi Aramco is shifting resources to bolster its current offshore activities, drill new wells, and adopt advanced technologies to optimize output.
In 2007, Saudi Aramco announced an ambitious plan to add more than 2 MMb/d of new oil production in order to raise the Kingdom’s total output capacity to more than 12.5 MMb/d by the end of 2009. More recently, reports have surfaced that Aramco is considering the possibility of an additional 2.5 MMb/d increase, bringing the total production to 15 MMb/d within several years."

---"Now, the one that we have launched is actually a small scale 0.3 million tons per year LNG to transport project in Canada, she is called a Green Corridor. We are installing a gas liquefaction plant at our Jumping Pound gas plant and the LNG fuel dispensing equipment at the Shell Flying J joint venture truck plazas throughout Western Canada. We’re at the same time maturing similar projects worldwide, for example, we are looking into LNG for shipping fuel out of Rotterdam and the LNG for trucks in China"-- Shell

On supply with little demand..
"Shale, Mild Winter Could Produce New Sub-$2 Floor, Analysts Say
February 1, 2012
Robust output from the nation's shale plays and relatively mild winter weather continue to force analysts to trim their natural gas price forecasts, with Bentek Energy LLC on Tuesday saying it expects the market to set a new price floor of $1.94/Mcf this September"
some times the internet really surprises me.. found all this in about 10 min..
Taking all that in.. I would say this pop will get sold until demand picks up for LNG.. Still could run a few days on the good news momentum and shrinking inventories...
