JP,
I bet gold looks pretty good when priced in Loonies
the only thing that has really changed is the value of the dollar... its up about 9.6% since march1
GLD is down about 10%
SPX down 10.8%
so if you have the same amount of dollars you had in your account since March 1st you are up 9.6%
Thats how cash is a position... IMHO.. and that's tax free...
Thats why you need to watch the currency charts also it is just another asset class... if you have dollars would you sell some today into the spike? Some things preform better than others... so what to trade into??? well you can see gold is pretty much par... you can say gold went down but compared to what? where is demand?
May see some demand for FB.. what time dose it start trading?

Dollar made a higher high last night at 2am....
I like PSLV physical silver.....
I still think we need more than tech trading areas to change direction at this point... so news on the ECBU..
Still a one day at a time IMHO...

http://www.guardian.co.uk/business/economics-blog/2012/may/18/greek-euro-tragedy-nears-final-act
if you are following the Greek and Euro issues... the prob is they still need to default... there debt will still be priced in EUR so no getting away from it.... that is the real issue. I wonder how you buy stock in greek and ECB lawyers..LOL
