@musselmant: The repeated columns with offsets also showed the same name for the current version. If you would like different column names for each, use the following syntax:

and add column rsi(10)
and add column rsi(10) 1 day ago { rsi(10) 1d }
and add column rsi(10) 2 days ago { rsi(10) 2d }

Let us know if you have any questions.
Thanks,

Something else I just noticed and do not know if this is occurring only in the new version or not. When returning Volume and Average Volume in a filter, the Volume format contains commas. Average Volume results do not. Although minor, it would be nice if they were the same format.

I noticed that there is still no monthly data available to use in filter development. Please add to the list, perhaps ahead of purely cosmetic changes.

@Kevin_in_GA - As indicated in our prior response, while you may only note the obvious "cosmetic" differences, much of the redesign is focused on allowing us to increase and improve the functionality on StockFetcher. We are sorry that the other changes may not be evident to you at this time.

Concerning monthly data, can you provide more details as far as the specifications you are looking for with monthly data? For example, would this be calendar month, including the current partial calendar month? Do you have particular measures/indicators you would like to utilize in filters based on monthly data? If so, can you detail which measures are most important to you? Or are you simply looking for charts based on monthly data? Any details and specifics will help us understand your request.

Thank you,
StockFetcher Support

In short, there needs to be access to monthly data bars as well as the daily and weekly bars that are currently used in filters and graphs. Again, I am focused on improvements to both the code and filter capabilities rather than on the user interface. My belief is that SF's uniqueness in this space is built on the code and filter syntax, and that has not really gone through any major renovation in many years.

kevin_in_ga: Unfortunately, we must not be properly conveying the impact of the re-design.

Here is our message earlier in this thread:

...The changes we are working through have three objectives.

Eliminate old and/or obsolete technology

From a server perspective, we need to replace technology that is no longer supported or prevents us from upgrading to the latest and fastest hardware. Once complete this gives us the ability to implement some features being requested that are more CPU intensive in nature.

On the client side, there are some areas that make this more than just a “face lift”. This includes:
- Replacing Adobe Flash based tools. Flash is not supported on mobile devices and is starting to be phased out in browsers.
- Utilize frameworks that can help to accelerate our development process (ex. bootstrap/jquery/…). In this area, we simply have no choice but to alter the user interface (hopefully for the better).

Better support for mobile platforms

While we won’t have a mobile friendly website after this initial release, we will be in a much better position to offer a StockFetcher solution on phones and non-iOS tablets.

Reduce confusion for users

The vast majority of user feedback we receive from subscribers is that the site is too complex to use. Over the years, we have introduced tools features which complicate or confuse the new user experience. We hope to eliminate some of this confusion going forward and improve the flow for our existing users in the process.

As with any change, this can be disruptive and upsetting for users comfortable with the existing design. We certainly hope to keep the disruption to a minimum but understand some changes are necessary.

We realize we are going to get some things wrong and upset users who have stuck with us through the years. This is, unfortunately, the price we pay to try and keep our technology up to date while planning for some of the features that our advanced users have been requesting.

It is for these reasons and past requests that we offer a preview version (beta) before switching everyone over. So please give it a try and give us your input. Let us know what you like and don’t like.

Best Regards,
StockFetcher

Concerning the monthly bars, are you looking for calendar based monthly bars? If so, do you expect partial monthly bars? If you can supply more details and examples of how you might use this data, that will help us understand what would be needed to meet your request.

Calendar-based monthly bars, including partial bars for the current month. Identical in all respects to the current weekly and daily bars.
