TRO:

I am doing reasonable well with your RFR filter (RDN has been quite good to me, thank you very much) and am now trying to understand fading the gap. i looked at AAPL today and am a bit confused as to how this one shoud have been played. From what I can see AAPL closed yesterday at about 134 and opened today gapped up at about 142. According to your FTG rules this is a candidate for a short which could have been entered within the first minute of the trade. But it seems that the downward trend almost immediately reversed and again according to your FTG rules (if I understand them correctly) you would have exited the position. Is all this correct or am I missing something?

Thanks for all your help and especially your great patience!

Tom

You could have had your profit in under a minute, right?

You have to TAKE PROFIT WHEN YOU CAN.

I too am in the process of learning TRO's RFR filters. May I ask what % pop's have been sucessufl for you for RDN? Are you going for 1% 2%, or more?
Thank you for sharing.

IMHO anything less than 5% really doesn't do much for me but you may have different needs. My current lifestyle doesn't allow me to use the Fade the Gap process but using RFR works well for me.

HTH and good luck!

Tom,

So have you bought RDN at Mondays open and set a limit sell at 5% each week and hit?

Would you mind sharing ?

You guys are mixing FTGs with RFRs... but if that works for YOU that's all that matters.
