Hi all
I was wondering if anyone here knows how to build a relative strenght indicator:
Price of stock XYZ / Price of market average (i.e. NASDAQ, S&P 500 etc.)

Thanks and good trading

poindexter,

SF provides "compare to" and "comparative relative strength" to allow visual comparisons to another stock or index. And of course, you can roll your own.
The example below illustrates these three possibilities. Generating trading signals from these indicators is a different matter.

Fetcher[compare to ^spx and
draw comparative relative strength(^spx,22)and
set{spxcl,ind(^spx,close)}and set{ratio,close / spxcl} and
set{my_rs, ratio * 100} and draw cma(my_rs,22) and
price is above 5
]

regards,
DK

Thanks for your help. I didn't realize SF had this option.
